TSS Visa Charges

Understanding the full cost of a Temporary Skill Shortage TSS visa is critical before proceeding. TSS visa costs are made up of government charges, sponsorship and nomination fees, Skilling Australians Fund levy, and professional service fees where applicable.

Visa Application Charges (VAC)

Short-Term Stream

• Main applicant: AUD 1,455

• Dependent adult: AUD 1,455

• Dependent child: AUD 365

Medium-Term Stream

• Main applicant: AUD 3,035

• Dependent adult: AUD 3,035

• Dependent child: AUD 760

Visa application charges are paid directly to the Department of Home Affairs and are non-refundable, even if the application is refused or withdrawn.

Sponsorship and Nomination Fees

Standard Business Sponsorship

• Sponsorship application fee: AUD 420

Nomination Fee

• Nomination application fee: AUD 330

These fees are payable by the sponsoring employer and must be approved before a visa application can be lodged.

Skilling Australians Fund Levy (SAF)

The SAF levy is mandatory and must be paid by the employer at the time of nomination.

• Businesses with annual turnover under AUD 10 million
  AUD 1,200 per visa year

• Businesses with annual turnover of AUD 10 million or more
  AUD 1,800 per visa year

The SAF levy cannot be passed on to the visa applicant under Australian law.

Professional Fees

Professional fees vary depending on the complexity of the case, number of applicants, and visa stream.

Typical professional fees for a TSS 482 application may range from AUD 4,400 to AUD 5,500, covering:
