Overview

The Electronic Travel Authority Subclass 601 allows eligible passport holders to travel to Australia for short stays for tourism or business purposes. It is a fully digital visa linked electronically to your passport.

What you can do with ETA 601

With this visa, you may:

• Visit Australia for tourism or leisure
• Visit family or friends
• Attend business meetings or conferences
• Enter Australia multiple times within the validity period

• Use the visa for up to 12 months from grant

Eligibility Requirements

You may be eligible for an ETA if you:

• Are outside Australia at the time of application
• Hold a passport from an ETA eligible country
• Intend a genuine short stay only
• Meet health and character requirements
• Have sufficient funds for your stay
• Hold onward or return travel plans

Important Conditions

• No work is permitted under ETA

• Each stay must not exceed 3 months
• You must comply with all Australian laws during your stay
