Who Is Eligible for a Child Visa Subclass 101
The child may be eligible if:
They are the biological, adopted, or step child of the sponsor
They are under 18 years of age
Or aged 18 to 25 and financially dependent and studying full time
Or over 18 with a disability that prevents independent living
They are unmarried and not in a de facto relationship
Sponsorship Requirements
The sponsoring parent must:
Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen
Be able to support the child financially
Accept sponsorship obligations
Only one parent is required to sponsor the child.
