Business Talent (Permanent) Visa – Subclass 132 (Streams A & B)
The Business Talent (Subclass 132) visa provides permanent residence for high-calibre business owners and investors through two specialised streams.This stream is designed for experienced business owners who have demonstrated long-term commercial success and intend to actively manage a business in Australia.
- Venture Capital Entrepreneur Stream (132B)
This stream is for entrepreneurs who have secured a minimum of AUD 1 million in venture capital funding from an approved Australian venture capital firm.
The Business Talent (Subclass 132) visa was closed to new applications in July 2021. Existing or transitional applications may still be assessed under previous migration regulations.
Visa Conditions & Duration
This visa grants permanent residency
Applicants may lodge their application from inside or outside Australia
Onshore applicants must hold a substantive visa or an eligible bridging visa
Application Location
Applicants may apply either from overseas or while residing in Australia, subject to holding a valid visa at the time of application.

BUSINESS HISTORY STREAM REQUIREMENTS
Additional Requirements – Significant Business History Stream (132A)
Generally under 55 years of age (unless exempt)
Net business and personal assets of at least AUD 1.5 million
Minimum business turnover of AUD 3 million in qualifying years
Ownership of at least 10% in a publicly listed business (if applicable)
Venture Capital Entrepreneur Stream (132B)
Applicants must hold a venture capital funding agreement of at least AUD 1 million from an Australian Venture Capital Association Limited (AVCAL) registered firm and demonstrate genuine commitment to business development in Australia.
